By Public Transport (incl. Shuttle Service):

The Port of Ghent has no organized public transport. Therefore a shuttle bus will be organized between the railway station ‘Gent-Dampoort’ and Bio Base Europe Pilot Plant. Travel time between both destinations is 15-20 minutes. If you would like to use this service, please, indicate this while registering or send an email to Katrien.Molders@bbeu.org.

Deadline for registration for the shuttle bus is Tuesday 9 June 2015.

From Railway Station ‘Gent-Dampoort’ to Bio Base Europe Pilot Plant: 13:00 – 13:20 – 13:40 – 14:20
From Bio Base Europe Pilot Plant to Gent-Dampoort: 16:30 – 17:00 – 17:30 – 18:30

By Car:

Bio Base Europe Pilot Plant is situated in the port of Ghent. We advise you to follow the white signs mentioning the port numbers (=Havennummer). Bio Base Europe Pilot Plant has port number 4220A.

GPS address: Street: RODENHUIZEKAAI 1; Commune: DESTELDONK (Gent).  If this does not work, try ‘SPRENDONKSTRAAT’ as a street name.

Coming from E17 (Antwerp/Kortrijk/France), take exit 13-Zelzate-Oost towards R4 direction Middelburg/Zelzate/Haven. Continue following R4 direction Zelzate. At traffic lights go to the right and follow John Kennedylaan (this is still the R4). Continue John Kennedylaan for 6.2km and take the road on the right being Sprendonkstraat (=just before the bridge. On your left-hand side you can see two windturbines and a huge pipeline parallel to the road). 100m further, at the T-junction, go to the left, under the bridge. 100m further at your left-hand side you will find Bio Base Europe Pilot Plant.

Coming from E40 (Brussels/Ostend), take exit 16 Merelbeke and follow R4 direction E17/Antwerpen/Zelzate/Eeklo/N9/Gent/Haven. Continue following R4 direction Zelzate. At traffic lights go to the right and follow John Kennedylaan (this is still the R4). Continue John Kennedylaan for 6.2km and take the road on the right being Sprendonkstraat (=just before the bridge. Coming from the N49/E34 (Antwerpen/Knokke), take exit 13 ‘R4, Middelburg, Zelzate’ in the direction of ‘R4/John Kennedylaan/Gent’. After you crossed the canal Moervaart (take the cooling tower from Electrabel on your right-hand side as a reference point OR the two windturbines and the green pipeline that runs no longer parallel to the traffic road), you turn left at the next traffic lights, direction ‘Haven 4110 – 4350’. At the end of this street, at the T-junction, go to the left. Follow this street until you spot a bridge, go under this bridge. 100m further at your left-hand side you will find Bio Base Europe Pilot Plant.

Coming from Terneuzen (NL), you enter Belgium via the N62. At Zelzate continue the road via John Kennedylaan/R4. After you crossed the canal Moervaart (take the cooling tower from Electrabel on your righthand side as reference point), you turn left at the next traffic lights, direction ‘Haven 4110 – 4350’. At the end of this street, at the T-junction, go to the left. Follow this street until you spot a bridge, go under this bridge. 100m further at your lefthand side you will find Bio Base Europe Pilot Plant.
